Changed From The Inside

Our theme for 2026 is TRANSFORMATION, taken from Romans 12:1-2, MSG: “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” Remember: Transformation requires transitions.

Week 1: Stay on Guard

  • Read 1 Kings chapters 17, 18, and 19:1-10
  • Elijah is one of the major prophets in the Old Testament, but he’s just like us, so we all can relate to him. (Read James 5:17)
  • He's moving from a victorious, confident state at Mount Carmel to a fear driven flight because Jezebel's threat over his head.
  • Threat distorts our spiritual perception and discernment. We get sort of a tunnel vision rather than fix our attention on God. (Romans 12:1)
  • The importance of encountering God in our ordinary life, watch and pray for any backlash from the devil.

PRAYER POINTS:

  • Are you experiencing challenges that are causing worry, fear, or discouragement? Put yourself in the position of Elijah when he fled after the threat from Jezebel. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you revelation on how Elijah overcame fear and encountered God again. Ask God to help you recognize how He is providing for you, even in desperate or uncertain moments.
  • Are your challenges similar to the poor widow and her son — financial pressure, health struggles, or feelings of insufficiency? Pray for God’s provision in every area of need so you can experience breakthrough. Pray for an obedient heart like the widow, willing to honor God first even when resources seem limited. Ask God to strengthen your faith so your obedience produces breakthrough.
  • Pray for God to reveal any “Jezebel” influences in your life — sins, idols, compromises, rebellion, or ungodly beliefs. Ask for courage to repent. Pray for strength to resist and flee from anything that opposes God’s will.
  • P.U.S.H — Pray Until Something Happens. Just as Elijah prayed persistently for rain: Pray with perseverance and spiritual tenacity. Ask God for endurance to continue praying until breakthrough comes.
  • Next Step: Invite Jesus Into Your Ordinary Moments
    • Transformation doesn’t only happen in big spiritual moments — it happens in the small, everyday choices.
    • Start your day by surrendering it to Jesus before you touch your phone.
    • Pause throughout the day and intentionally acknowledge His presence (while driving, working, eating, resting).
    • Ask yourself often: “Jesus, what would it look like to walk with You right now?”
    • End your day by thanking Him for where you saw His hand.

“Lord, come and be part of every moments of my life. Help me to bring you wherever I go and whatever I do.”

Week 2: The Significance of Sheer Silence

  • Read 1 Kings 19:11-21
  • The sheer silence following the wind, earthquake, and fire is a significant sign of God's presence.
  • Elijah's internal storm vs. God's presence. It is similar to what the disciples experience when they were in the same boat with Jesus. (Read Mark 4:35-41)
  • Know that you are not alone. God has a remnant who do not worship Baal.
  • The importance of gathering with like minded people who have like minded vision to END (Evangelize Nurture Disciple)

PRAYER POINTS:

  • What storm are you currently experiencing — emotional, financial, relational, or spiritual? Pray for the Holy Spirit to remind you of your identity in Christ: you are a son or daughter of the Most High King (John 1:12; Romans 8:17; Ephesians 3:19). Ask God to remind you of the authority you have as His child. Just as Jesus Christ commanded the storm to be still, pray with faith and declare peace over your situation in Jesus’ name.
  • Pray for God to remind you that He is always with you — you are never alone. Declare that God is still in control, even when circumstances feel uncertain. Ask for faith and confidence to trust Him to carry you through every challenge.
  • Challenge: Surround Yourself with Godly Community
    • Faith grows stronger in the right environment.
    • Intentionally connect with believers who will encourage and strengthen your walk with God.
    • If you have not already, join a CARE cell or small group so you have spiritual support, accountability, and encouragement.
    • Pray for God to position you among people who will help you grow, not drift.
  • Next Step: Be Still and Hear His Voice
    • Intentionally set aside a daily Time Alone With God (TAWG), starting with 5–10 minutes and gradually increasing.
    • During your TAWG, focus on Jesus. Do not be distracted with other thoughts.
    • Pray: “Lord, reveal Yourself to me. Help me recognize Your voice and Your presence.”
    • Learn to discern between God’s voice, your own thoughts and the world’s noises.

“Lord, help me to be able to hear and discern your still, small voice. Speak Lord, your servant hears.”

Week 3: Don’t be a loner

  • The importance of relationship in spiritual growth.
  • Elijah isolated himself (1 Kings 19:3) and God connected him to Elisha (1 Kings 19:16)
  • Read 1 Kings 19:4. You rarely see broom trees in the dessert. It's an isolated broom tree — this symbol of isolation is not just external, but internal
  • Relationship is the governing principle of the kingdom of God. Long before Jesus sent out the twelve disciples, HE called them TO BE WITH HIM.
  • Always remember END (Evangelism Nurture Discipleship)

PRAYER POINTS:

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and reveal the true condition of your relationship with the Lord. Pray for deeper intimacy with Jesus — not just activity for Him, but closeness with Him. Invite God to expose anything creating distance: disappointment, anger, frustration, un-forgiveness, busyness, or spiritual apathy. Surrender those areas and ask for renewed hunger for His presence.
  • Ask God to examine your relationships with fellow believers. Is there anyone you have withdrawn from, avoided, or held resentment toward? Pray for humility, courage, and wisdom to rebuild bridges and restore unity. Ask God to place you in life-giving relationships that strengthen your faith and purpose.
  • Pray for God to surround you with godly people that can help your faith to mature.
  • Pray for God to use you as blessings for others that needs it.
  • Next Step: Reorder Your Time and Reconnect
    • Identify habits or distractions that are stealing time from your walk with Jesus. Begin reducing them and intentionally replace that time with prayer, worship, or reading Scripture.
    • Reach out to someone you haven’t connected with in a while. Rebuild the relationship and share what God has been doing in your life recently.

“Lord, draw me closer to You and connect me with the right people so I can grow, thrive, and fulfill Your purpose.”

Week 4: God’s Presence in each transitions

  • Read 1 Kings 19:11-21
  • The importance of “angel’s touch” in our life, admitting our vulnerability, and the need of humility. Hear and obey.
  • Remember: Transformation requires transitions. Transition, though it is uncomfortable, is indispensable for our spiritual maturity (Romans 12:2), and this is not just for Elijah, but for ourselves as well. (Read also Matthew 17:1-5)
  • Transition often disorients the space between old realities and new possibilities. It's a time when former structures, former identities, and former securities are dissolved. (From caterpillar to butterfly)
  • The importance of having your own testimony after you go through testing.

PRAYER POINTS:

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what God is transforming you from and what He is transforming you into. Pray for sensitivity to recognize God’s hand in this current season of change. Thank God that transition is evidence of His work in your life, not His absence.
  • Pray for clarity where things feel confusing or uncertain. Ask God to keep you grounded in His Word so you are not easily shaken. Pray for supernatural peace and confidence while walking through unfamiliar territory.
  • Like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly: Ask the Holy Spirit to break old habits, mindsets, attitudes, and identities that no longer belong in your new season. Pray for renewal of your mind so you can confidently walk in who God is calling you to be. Declare that you will not return to former patterns that limit your growth.
  • Pray that there will be no delay, interference, or distraction that hinders your spiritual growth. Ask God to reveal anything that could slow or block your transformation. Surrender those areas to Him and invite His refining work.
  • Next Step: Walk Through Transition with Support
    • Identify old habits, attitudes, or behaviors that hinder your growth (e.g., negative speech, worry, addictions, self-sabotage, discouragement toward others). Begin intentionally replacing them with godly practices.
    • Find a trusted, godly accountability partner. Pray together, encourage one another, and speak truth over each other’s identity when the process feels difficult.

“Lord, help me trust You in every transition, release what is behind me, and fully step into the new identity You are forming in me.”
